Groundbreaking Meeting This Thursday
This Thursday night is Cross of Christ’s very first public gathering and we’re inviting all of you to be a part of it! It will be a time of praying together and sharing what we will be about as a church. I will be teaching, our interim elders will be leading the prayers, and our worship team will lead us in singing.
• Maybe you grew up in the church but knew more about your particular tradition or the right ways to behave rather than Jesus; come hear the good news of Jesus.
• Maybe you’re a believer, plugged in to a local church and passionate about what God is doing in Orange County; come pray with us.
• Maybe you haven’t been connected to a church for awhile, come hear how the Gospel of Jesus will shape this church community, our mission, and your role in both.
• Maybe you don’t know Jesus, think he was just a good guy who helped a lot of people, or consider yourself spiritual but not religious; come hear how the cross of Jesus Christ changes everything.
Please feel free to invite friends, family, or co-workers as well!
7pm, this Thursday, in Costa Mesa.
First Core Group Gathering This Sunday
This Sunday also marks another big transition as we move in to Core Group phase. We’ll be meeting every Sunday through the Fall at 4pm in the hopes of building a group of people passionate about making disciples shaped by the cross of Jesus. It will be this group that forms the trunk of this church plant.
I’ll be teaching through the Exodus (God’s model of redemption in the Old Testament) this Fall. We’ll do an advent series for Christmas and then the plan is to do a series called The Cross of Christ (looking at our redemption through the cross of Jesus in the New Testament) in the New Year.
4pm, every Sunday, in Costa Mesa.
Lastly, we do need your help financially. Please prayerfully consider supporting this young church as we get off the ground and as we labor to see the good news of Jesus go forward in Orange County.
You can set up recurring support or a one-time gift through our giving page.
Because of Him,
